- TRANSFORMERS AND LOW VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTION BOARDS (LVDB)
HV/LV Transformation and Distribution Solutions
Purpose-built transformers and low voltage distribution boards for grid-connected renewable energy and utility applications.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Complete HV/LV Packages — Designed Together
GreenBox supplies and engineers transformer and LVDB (Low Voltage Distribution Board) solutions for renewable energy grid connection points. From pad-mount transformers for solar farm POCs to LVDBs for large commercial systems — we handle design, procurement, compliance and documentation.
By designing the transformer and LVDB together, we ensure correct protection discrimination, coordinated metering, and a single documentation package — eliminating the interface risk that arises when separate suppliers are responsible for each element.
All transformers are supplied with AS60076 test certificates from accredited manufacturers — accepted by Australian DNSPs and asset managers for grid connection approval.

BENEFITS
Why Source Through GreenBox
Single-Supplier Solution
Transformer and LVDB designed and coordinated together — eliminating the interface risk and responsibility gaps that arise when separate suppliers design each element.
Faster Project Delivery
Our established relationships with accredited transformer manufacturers and LVDB fabricators enable competitive lead times and project scheduling certainty.
DNSP-Ready Documentation
AS60076 test certificates, single-line diagrams and protection coordination studies are supplied in formats accepted by Australian DNSPs for grid connection approval.
FAQ
Transformer Questions
Our engineering team can assist with substation specification and DNSP documentation requirements for your project.
Do you supply transformers directly or coordinate procurement?
GreenBox manages the full supply — including specification, procurement from accredited Australian and international manufacturers, and coordination of delivery. We do not manufacture transformers, but we manage every aspect of the supply process and provide the complete documentation package.
What transformer voltage ratings do you supply?
Our standard range covers 25kVA to 2500kVA with primary voltages of 11kV, 22kV and 33kV — covering all standard Australian DNSP distribution voltages. Non-standard voltage ratings are available on request.
Are the LVDBs designed and supplied together with the transformer?
Yes. GreenBox designs and coordinates the LVDB alongside the transformer specification — ensuring protection discrimination, metering and busbar ratings are correctly matched. The LVDB is manufactured at our Clayton South facility and supplied with the transformer as a coordinated package.
What documentation is provided with transformer and LVDB packages?
The package includes AS60076 routine and type test reports, nameplate specifications, single-line diagrams, protection coordination study, LVDB wiring schedules, AS/NZS 61439 test certificate, and an installation and maintenance manual.
What is the typical lead time for a transformer and LVDB package?
Standard transformer packages typically require 10–16 weeks. LVDB fabrication is typically 4–6 weeks and is coordinated to align with transformer delivery. Project-specific scheduling is confirmed at the time of order.
