AS/NZS Compliant Grid Protection for Australian Networks

Purpose-built protection boards designed to meet DNSP requirements for every solar and renewable energy grid connection.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Manufactured to Australian Standards — Every Single Time

GreenBox Grid Protection Boards are purpose-built to meet DNSP requirements across all Australian states. Manufactured at our Clayton South facility to AS/NZS 3000 and AS4777 standards, each board is individually configured with the correct relay settings for your specific network area.

Every unit is factory-tested and supplied with full documentation including single-line diagrams, protection relay settings sheets, and commissioning test reports — giving you everything needed for a smooth grid connection approval.

Selectable relay options include ComAp and CHNT, both accepted by major DNSPs nationally. Available in single-phase 230V and three-phase 400V configurations with current ratings up to 400A.

FAQ

Common Questions

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Our technical team is available to answer project-specific questions.
Which DNSPs are your grid protection boards approved for?
Our boards are configured to meet the requirements of major DNSPs including Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy, Energex, Ergon, SA Power Networks, Western Power and TasNetworks. State-specific relay settings are applied at the factory.
Standard configurations are typically available within 5–10 business days from order confirmation. Custom relay selections or non-standard enclosure sizes may extend this to 3–4 weeks. Contact us for project-specific scheduling.
Every board ships with a full documentation package including the single-line diagram, protection relay settings sheet signed by our engineer, factory insulation and functional test report, DNSP compliance declaration, and a wiring schedule.
Yes. 100% of boards undergo functional relay testing, insulation resistance testing (1000V DC), and a complete visual and wiring inspection at our Clayton South facility. Test reports are included in the documentation package.
Absolutely. Relay settings, disconnect thresholds, and reconnect timers are configured at the factory to the specific DNSP requirements for your project’s network area. Simply specify the connection address and network when ordering.
GreenBox Grid Protection Boards carry a 2-year workmanship warranty from date of dispatch. Relay and component warranties are passed through from the relevant manufacturers (ComAp and CHNT both provide 2-year hardware warranties).
