- QUALITY STANDARDS
Built to Australian Standards. Tested to Exceed Them.
Every GreenBox product is designed, manufactured and tested to meet or exceed AS/NZS requirements — with full documentation and traceability.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Quality is not a final inspection. It's every step of our process.
A protection product that fails in the field is worse than no product at all. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to — which is why quality controls are embedded at every stage of design, procurement, manufacturing, and testing, not just at the end.
Design Quality
Engineering drawings reviewed and approved before any production begins. Changes require formal design review sign-off.
Material Quality
Components sourced from our approved supplier list only. Incoming goods inspection on all batches before they enter production.
Manufacturing Quality
Stage-by-stage build sign-off by trained technicians following approved build documentation at every workstation.
Documentation Quality

MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Eight steps from brief to dispatch
Every GreenBox product follows the same manufacturing process — because consistency is what produces reliable products, every time.
01
Engineering Design
Every product begins with formal CAD drawings and circuit diagrams produced by our qualified electrical engineers — reviewed against applicable AS/NZS standards before any material is ordered.
- Circuit diagram approval
- Component specification review
- AS/NZS compliance check
- DNSP requirement alignment
02
Material Procurement
Components are sourced exclusively from our approved supplier list. No substitutions are made without an engineering review and updated BOM — ensuring every unit is built to identical specification.
- Approved supplier list only
- Batch traceability records
- Certificate of conformance required
- No unapproved substitutions
03
Component Inspection
All incoming components are subject to incoming quality checks before they enter our manufacturing process. Out-of-spec components are quarantined and returned before production begins.
- Incoming goods inspection
- Dimensional & visual check
- Certificate review
- Quarantine procedure for rejects
04
Assembly
Trained production technicians assemble each unit following approved build documentation. Our assembly process is structured to prevent errors — with stage sign-off at critical checkpoints.
- Trained & assessed technicians
- Stage-by-stage sign-off
- Build documentation at workstation
- Error-proofing controls
05
Wiring & Termination
All wiring and termination is completed to AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules. Cable sizes, termination torques, and labelling are specified in engineering drawings and verified during build.
- AS/NZS 3000 compliance
- Cable sizing to AS/NZS 3008
- Termination torque records
- Full circuit labelling
06
Functional Testing
100% of units undergo functional electrical testing before leaving our facility. This is not a sample check — every single unit is powered up and verified against the engineering specification.
- 100% unit testing — no exceptions
- Insulation resistance test
- Continuity verification
- Functional operation confirmed
07
Compliance Inspection
A final independent inspection checks that the built unit matches the approved drawings, that all documentation is complete, and that the unit satisfies the relevant AS/NZS standard.
- Built unit vs. approved drawings
- Documentation completeness
- AS/NZS standard verification
- Independent inspector sign-off
08
Documentation & Dispatch
Every unit is dispatched with its full documentation package — including test reports, compliance certificates, circuit diagrams, and installation instructions.
- Test report included
- Circuit diagrams supplied
- Compliance certificate issued
- Installation instructions enclosed
TESTING PROCEDURES
Every unit. Every test. No exceptions.
We don’t sample-test. Every GreenBox unit undergoes the full testing protocol before it leaves our facility.
Electrical Testing
Fundamental electrical tests performed on every unit before dispatch to verify the build is safe and electrically sound.
- Insulation resistance (IR) test to IEC 60243
- Continuity of protective conductors
- Correct phase rotation verification

- Earth fault loop impedance measurement
- Functional operation under rated load
Protection Testing
Protection relay and device testing to confirm correct operation at specified pickup levels and within required time tolerances.
- Over/undervoltage relay timing verification
- Over/underfrequency relay pick-up level
- Injection test simulation (where applicable)
- Relay coordination confirmation
- Trip and close function verification
- Protection relay time-current curves
Documentation Review
A formal documentation check ensures every unit ships with complete, accurate records that satisfy DNSP and certifier requirements.
- Built unit matches approved drawings
- All test results recorded and signed
- Compliance certificates current and valid
- Installation and commissioning notes included
- AS/NZS standards references confirmed
- DNSP-specific documentation verified

FAQ
Common quality questions
Answers to the questions our clients most frequently ask about testing, documentation, warranties, and compliance.
Do products come with test reports?
Yes — every GreenBox product is dispatched with a factory test report signed by a qualified engineer. The report records the tests performed, the results measured, and the engineer who conducted and verified the testing. Test reports are product-specific and unit-serialised.
What warranty do you offer?
GreenBox products carry a 2-year warranty from date of dispatch against manufacturing defects and component failures. The warranty covers parts and labour for product repair or replacement. Site-caused damage, incorrect installation, and third-party modifications are excluded. Contact our technical team to initiate a warranty claim.
Are products suitable for all Australian states?
Our core products are designed to national AS/NZS standards and are suitable for use in all Australian states. However, some DNSPs have specific additional requirements for protection settings or connection documentation. We can configure protection relay settings to your specific DNSP requirements on request — please provide your DNSP’s technical standard when ordering.
Can you provide custom documentation?
Yes. We can produce custom documentation packages to meet specific DNSP, EPC contractor, or certifier requirements. This includes custom-format test reports, additional circuit diagrams, as-built documentation, and compliance certificates referencing specific project details. Custom documentation requests should be specified at time of order.
What happens if a product fails in the field?
Contact our technical support team immediately. We will assess the failure mode remotely before arranging a return-to-base inspection or dispatching a replacement. Confirmed manufacturing defects within warranty are resolved at no charge. Our technical team can also provide phone or email support for commissioning issues during initial installation.
Do you offer on-site support?
Yes. Our commissioning engineers can attend site for injection testing, protection relay commissioning, and functional verification of installed GreenBox equipment. On-site support is available across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland with scheduling available for other states. Contact us to discuss requirements and pricing.
How long does manufacturing take?
Standard products from our catalogue typically have a 5–10 business day lead time from confirmed order. Custom-engineered products, including bespoke switchboards and modified protection boards, require an engineering design phase and typically have a 3–6 week lead time depending on complexity. We confirm lead times at point of order.
